Staying in a fifteenth century house with every modern convenience is hard to describe. It was just beautiful. Curled up on a sofa in front of a flat screen tv watching Netflix, yet surrounded by massive stone walls and sense of opulence and style is hard to beat. Evenings were often spent exploring laneways lit with orange gas lights in search of yet another excellent restaurant. The main squares were filled with life and tourists, but there was never a sense of crowdedness. We spent 9 nights soaking up the warmth, peace and luxury of the house. Why would anyone ever stay in an impersonal hotel? Sabine was unfailingly responsive and helpful. Thank you for helping us have such a memorable reunion with beautiful France.
Staying at l’entracte in Sarlat was an unforgettable experience for our family of three, including our infant. Sabine thoughtfully provided everything we needed for our little one—a bathtub, an umbrella crib with a thick foam mattress, and a cozy blanket. The house itself felt like we had stepped back in time, with its beautiful, historic interiors, and the location was simply perfect. Our time in Sarlat inspired us to explore more medieval towns in France, and returning to this wonderful Airbnb each day only added to the magic and comfort of our stay. We truly cherished every moment and are already missing both the home and the town dearly. Sabine was incredibly responsive, and we would highly recommend staying here if you're visiting Sarlat or the surrounding area. Thank you, Sabine, for a fantastic stay—we miss Sarlat so much already!
We’ve stayed in many AirB&B’s across Europe but this is definitely the most luxurious and ostentatious. Although the house is many years old, it’s been renovated and is now well equipped and very updated. We felt very fortunate to spend 3 nights in this beautiful house and well beautiful house. Thank you for being such great hosts ! You made our stay at Sarlat the highlight of our month tour of France
A n absolute wonderful stay in Sarlat all thanks to this amazing place. Sabine made parking and finding the house effortless. When we arrived we were greeted with a place which surpassed any of our expectations. The location was perfect and although it was so close to the centre of town, its was nestled in a very quiet area, which made a light sleeper like me very happy. The rooms were beautiful and the beds were very comfortable. The facilities were second to none. One evening we accidentally locked ourselves out and Sabine immediately came to the rescue within 30 mins and she couldn’t have been more kind about our faux pas! Checking out was also very simple. I would recommend this place to anyone and have already told many friends and family to visit this wonderful part of France and to base themselves at this accommodation. Thank you.
The house was a gorgeous space in the perfect location. Less than 5 mins walk from the main square and all the delicious places to eat. Sabine always answered our questions promptly and checked in with us to make sure we were ok. Can’t recommend this property highly enough - a real treat.
We had a great stay at Sabine’s property. The location is great; right in area of the main square of Sarlat, but up a pedestrian side street, so it was very quiet. The house is a very old structure and very authentic and it is furnished with antiques that compliment this. It has the history of the actually house posted on wall which was very interesting. House was clean and instructions were very clear. Parking was actually easy as well up in the “free” area above the town. Thanks for a fun and enjoyable visit.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the heart of old-town Sarlat. We chose this property to have an “old world” experience and yet have all the modern conveniences that we’re used to. It did not disappoint! Hot water, great shower, tons of electrical outlets for computer use. Master bedroom is huge and situated on the corner for windows on each side. Large private bathroom with two sinks and great shower. It was just the two of us so we didn’t need the other two bedrooms - one on the second floor and one on the third floor. Appreciated the second bathroom on the main floor. We are on an extended stay in France so appreciated the washer and dryer! We also loved the outside table and chairs to enjoy our wine and cheese after a day of sight-seeing. Location, location, location!!!! Perfect! Right around the corner from the square for market days. Restaurants, cafes, shopping all right there. Parking is relatively easy. Park on the street for one hour free parking to unload. Then free parking a couple of blocks away up the hill. Do not hesitate to stay here. If we’re ever in Sarlat again we will stay here!
We spent the last week in Sarlat and had a wonderful time. We are happy to report that at at this home apartment was exactly as described in the listing. It is very clean, comfortable, quite, quaint, spacious and conveniently located - being just steps from the Saturday market and from the Place de la Liberte. Our hostess, Sabine, could not have been more hospitable.

Wonderful property - wonderful town
The house is located in a small pedestrian- only alley. Very quiet but steps away from the old part of town and many restaurants and shops. What a beautiful house! The kitchen was well thought out and lacked nothing. We found a grocery store and patisserie a 5 minute walk away. Plenty of restaurants as well. The bathroom showers were excellent. Sarlat is close to many places to visit, It is a good, central location.
apartment is stylish and comfortable. Living room has very good seating. Cooking and laundry facilities were fantastic.
We loved this place. Very completely furnished/decorated. Very fully equipped kitchen. Sabrina was very helpful and responded quickly to all correspondence. Note that although there are three bedrooms only one is en suite. Would gladly stay here again.
Super location!

No snags at all. Property agent was helpful and available. Location of property is best asset - right in the old village on a pedestrian street. Well equipped and comfortable.
Magical & elegant. Everything quintessential of France! Extremely conveniently located to the town square
Très belle maison, très ancienne mais confortable, meublée avec goût. Très bien située dans le centre ville historique mais à l'écart de la foule. Une adresse que je recommande.
Beautiful home! We are thrilled to have fond this authentic old home which has been renovated to accommodate simple modern pleasures while keeping the furniture in classic tradition. The beds were good as well.
This is a very charming residence right in the heart of the old town. The place has a lot of character and is very spacious. S
