Grange de Els (ref. 0340) - Gite rental Dordogne 8 beds

This former tobacco drying barn, so typical of the Perigord, has been lovingly restored. Today it successfully mixes the charm of its original architecture with a cosy re looking, and is spacious and luminous.

With its four bedrooms and three bathrooms, its huge living room with french windows looking out over the garden, its private heated pool, it is the ideal holiday destination for happy holidays with friends or family.

INTERIOR DESCRIPTION:

- a spacious living room offers:
* a dining area with large table and eight chairs, where you can lunch in the cool of the house whilst looking out over the pool.
* an open plan kitchen, perfectly equipped to prepare tasty meals with the delicious local produce! All electrical equipment is brand new.
* a cosy sitting area where the two sofas, armchairs and coffee table invite you to relax
- leading off the kitchen area is a laundry room, with a washing machine, a dryer and all the necessary ironing equipment.
- a separate toilet completes the ground floor.

From the living room, the wooden staircase leads to the first floor, where the landing, which overlooks the sitting room from a mezzanine level, gives access to the bedrooms. Two large wardrobes offer plenty of storage space.
* the first double bedroom offers a large double bed (160cm wide), bedside tables, and a dressing area
* it benefits from a private shower room with a tiled walk in shower and washbasin.
* the second double bedroom also offers a 160cm large double bed, bedside table and cupboard space.
* it also benefits from a private shower room with walk in shower and washbasin.
* the third bedroom has a very large double bed (180cm wide)
* the fourth bedroom has a bunk bed to accommodate 2 children.

* The huge garden of 1500m² offers plenty of play areas for the children. The far reaching view looks out over the hillsides of Le Coux.
* the terrace is equipped with two large tables and 8 chairs, and is ideal for leisurely al fresco lunches and enjoys the sun all day long.
* Situated at the rear of the house, the pool is for your sole use. Secured by an electric cover it is safe for the children. For the comfort of our guests the pool is heated from early may to end of september
* Parking for three cars inside the property

Situation

Le Coux is a charming small village in the heart of the Black Perigord. Here you will find some small shops and restaurants. You can also bathe in the river, on the pebble beach which has a lifeguard in the summer months.
For walkers, there is a rich and diverse patrimony waiting to be discovered: two churches, three castles, 18 manor houses, and many lovely stone buildings.
Situated just a few kilometres away, the village of Bigaroque is well worth a visit. Take a detour on the hillsides and you will be under the charm of the hamlets. Within easy reach you will find many famous tourist attractions such as Sarlat; the castles of the Dordogne valley; the picturesque countryside of the Vezere valley; Beynac, Domme, La Roque Gageac, Castelnaud la Chapelle - all classed as one of the most beautiful villages of France; the list is endless!

Flexible changeover day: 4 days mini in mid and low seasons / 7 days in july and august

The price is inclusive of all charges except:
* 3% booking fees/stay
* touristic taxe
* compulsory cleaning fee service : €200
bed linen and towels for bath are provided free of charge

Booking process:
* 25% deposit with booking
* Remainder to be paid 4 weeks before arrival

We had a fantastic stay here and we were sad to leave this great holiday home behind… It is well equiped, designed with taste and eye for detail, spacious and with a perfect view on the green surroundings. The small village of Meyrals is closeby and has a great bakery and has some very nice hikes to discover the surroundings and forests where we spotted several deers! Supermarket at 10 minutes drive. Highly recommanded holiday home!

Nous avons passé d'excellentes vacances dans le séchoir du Périgord. Le terrain de pétanque et la piscine chauffée sont un vrai plaisir. A l'intérieur, la maison spacieuse, la grande cuisine, la grande tablée et la literie confortable ont fini de nous contenter !
We travelled as a group of 11 people and had a lovely stay at this apartment! The horse is renovated in a modern style and very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the pool area and the well equipped kitchen! The surrounding landscape is stunning and very idyllic but the location is still within a close driving distance to supermarkets and gas stations
Maison très bien située dans la région à faible distance de tous les sites intéressants (Castelnaud, Bournat, etc...). La grande pièce à vivre est très agréable ainsi que les extérieurs. Très belle vue sur la campagne ! Nous avons passé un très bon séjour !
Tres bien situé et très calme. Sabine est très reactive et tout est clairement indiqué pour passer un bon séjour. Super moment passé dans cette magnifique région. Nous sommes très content.

A beautiful rental in the Dordogne valley. We really enjoyed the charm of the converted tobacco drying barn, a typical landmark in the region. It was a very comfortable stay, although the area experienced a heat wave and, without air conditioning, it took a bit of time to cool off in the evening - and so the generous sized, well maintained pool came in hand. »
?Séchoir très bien situé correspondant parfaitement à la description. Nous recommandons ce logement où nous avons passé un très bon séjour. A notre arrivée la personne de l'agence a été de très bon conseil.

The renovation of the barn has been very well done, loved the open plan spaces they worked really well for our families as did the bedroom arrangements. Had a great holiday and would definitely recommend
