We spent lots of time on all of the terraced ares of the garden and the view from the pool is perfect. The kitchen had everything we needed as we like to cook and the local market provided fresh fruit veg meat and also fresh fish. We spent allot of our holiday walking in the beautiful countryside. Villages forests and walnut groves. The weather was kind and even the thunderstorms at night were exciting. |

Testimonial on Les Brandes - Walnut cottage (Ref. 0533) - Holidays rental Saint Pompon We had a delightful stay as Les Brandes – it really is a hidden gem and perfect for us with our young family. The accommodation is very comfortable and clean, with everything you could possibly need for a stay in rural France. However, the true beauty of Les Brandes is threefold; the location – completely private, up a track from the road and surrounded by woodland yet within easy reach of services in St Pompon (5 mins), Daglan(10 mins) and Cenac (20 mins) for larger shops. Secondly, we loved the multiple dining options – the balcony, the terrace or under the wisteria laden pergola by the pool. All with SPECTACULAR views. And finally, the pool is truly magnificent – good size with stepped access, plenty of room for loungers in the sun and the shade, and far-reaching views across farmland to further woodland. It’s also gated and alarmed, for peace of mind with little ones. Les Brandes truly is a little piece of heaven. You will not be disappointed! We’ll be back next year! |

Testimonial on Petit Ormeau (Ref. 0298) - Holidays rental Limeuil What can I say about this wonderful house in the heart of the medieval village of Limeuil? Just beautiful! Marc and Ophelia were lovely hosts and welcomed us in. They live next door and were very helpful should you need anything. The house is very well stocked with lovely art work dotted around. The grounds are huge with a private pool and it is so peaceful. Only local residents (and visitors) can use the roads so the only passing traffic during the day are humans walking around this ancient village. It’s a great base for visiting the Perigord area and just a couple of miles from Le Bugue. It’s strange but you almost get a humble sense of pride that you are able to stay in such an ancient house in an ancient village. In summary a beautiful house, perfect hosts (that you hardly ever see), wonderful setting and very very relaxing! You do need a car! Nearest supplies are Le Bugue but there are 4 decent restaurants close by in walking distance. |

Testimonial on Les Brandes (Ref. 0496) - Holidays rental St Pompon We had the most wonderful 2 week stay at Les Brandes, nestled in the beautiful forest offering total privacy and escapism from the world. The two houses were ideal for us travelling as two separate families. We fell in love with the outdoor space, my children enjoyed exploring the grounds and we loved the serenity and quiet. We were travelling with 2 young children so it was fantastic to have a travel cot, high chair, bed guard and changing mat, as well as plastic plates/cups and children’s cutlery. The 2 restaurants in the local village offered great lunchtime and evening menus and were reasonably priced. Les Brandes is in the perfect location to visit the beautiful villages and towns of the Dordogne eg: Daglan, Domme (best ice cream we’ve eaten and a lovely pizza restaurant called ‘Le Templiers’ which we highly recommend), La Roque Gageac, Cenac, and of course the river where we canoed. The setting of Les Brandes is truly magical and the swimming pool was beautifully maintained. The cottages are welcoming and rustic with everything you could need for a truly wonderful holiday. The beds are comfortable and the showers excellent! We cannot wait to return!! |

Very peaceful and private, can walk to a choice of 3 boulangeries and a delicatessen in the village and a small well equipped supermarket with a bigger supermarket only 5 minutes drive away. Walk into the town to a few lovely outside bars (far end of village) and the choice of 3 lovely restaurants and some beautiful little shops. The Sunday market is a must and provides a fabulous morning out with fantastic local goods and produce. We absolutely loved our stay, very safe area excellent to get to local Dordogne areas only 30mins from Sarlet, Domme, Montpazier all recommended for a visit. Choice of a few canoe trips too where we had a beautiful day on the river. Recommend a local restaurant Brasseurs Du Pont in Siorac we went twice beautiful view over river and food. Definitely somewhere we will come again and highly recommend. |

Testimonial on Manoir de Beynac (Ref. 0256) - Holidays rental BEYNAC I rented the Manoir at Beynac to celebrate my 60th birthday. Friends and family joined us for two weeks. Every one of us had a fabulous time. This amazing house is a hidden gem. Privacy is protected by stone walls and a gate. There are a lot of tourists walking up to the Chateau in the lane outside the gate that turn and look every time we emerged from the gate. One man asked if I was the queen of the castle. I said yes, for a short time. I certainly felt like one. We gathered around the table outside under the trees that had views to die for. The pool was a welcome relief every afternoon and was a perfect temperature. On the night of my birthday, coincidentally there was a stunning fireworks display. I like to think it was for me. Every morning the balloons would lift off. Sounding like a valley of fire breathing dragons and on one occasion skimming just over the trees in the garden. The manoir is a magical experience for a special event that will not be forgotten. |
