Grape arbor sheltered our enjoyment of local sausages and wine. Centuries old, but plenty of modern conveniences. Two stories of stone, space and charm. Eclectic furnishings. High ceilings. Huge fireplace. Fabulous knife set, beautiful copper pots. Just steps away from the Sunday market and restaurants. Handy to large and small grocery stores. Town is large enough to have all the necessary stores, but small enough to be accessible. Our own dedicated parking space. Our own dedicated washing machine. Host Sabine welcomed us with enthusiasm, with directions around town, suggestions on restaurants for moules fritte (mussels and french fries). We liked her recommended seafood restaurant so much, we ate there twice. Master bedroom on second floor with handy half bath. Sleeping accommodations for a huge group, including bed in loft. Convenient location for exploring the surrounding area. Especially recommend canoe trip on the Dordogne River. The river did all the work, while we took pictures of castle and mountains. We highly recommend this location and this host.
